On the portal odprteobjave.si, you can find information about the possibilities for open access publishing of scientific works in academic journals, in accordance with the requirements of the Decree on the Implementation of Scientific Research Work in Accordance with the Principles of Open Science and the requirements of funders within the European Research Area. The portal provides an overview of funder policies, ways of publishing scientific work in open access, and practices of certain international scientific publishers that are not considered trustworthy. The portal is currently in its pilot phase and will be continuously improved. We will gladly take your feedback into account during this process.
We have developed a scientific journal finder for journals accessible under the so-called transformative agreements, where consortia have prepaid open access publishing vouchers in addition to reading access. With this search tool, you can find a suitable journal for your publication, including among the so-called gold and diamond journals. The database provides information on eligible users and the approximate number of open access publishing vouchers. We have also integrated a search function for the list of open access journals in DOAJ, which is the most comprehensive database of open access scientific journals with transparent criteria for verifying credibility and quality.
