Accessibility Statement
The Central Technical Library of the University of Ljubljana ensures the accessibility of the website odprteobjave.si in accordance with the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act (Uradni list RS, No. 30/18). To meet the legal accessibility requirements, certain adaptations have been implemented, such as:
- responsive design (the website adapts to the user’s screen size without loss of structure or content);
- the site includes a dedicated accessibility plugin that enables various accessibility adjustments;
- text size can be increased without loss of content or functionality;
- the website can be navigated using only a keyboard (mouse-free navigation is supported via browser functionality);
- appropriate colour contrasts (between text and background);
- no flashing content is present, making the website safe for all user groups who may be sensitive to sudden changes or flashing elements;
- images can be provided with alternative text;
- multiple heading levels are supported;
- a site map is available;
- the website behaves in a predictable manner.
LEVEL OF COMPLIANCE
The website is partially compliant with the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act due to the exceptions listed below.
NON-ACCESSIBLE CONTENT
We regularly monitor and improve the accessibility of the website. However, some published content still does not meet all accessibility requirements as defined by the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act. This content includes:
- some images are not provided with alternative text. These are primarily decorative images or visuals that support the accompanying text. The content remains accessible even without the images or their alternative descriptions;
- some PDF files, particularly those that consist of scanned documents, are not accessible to users with specific impairments;
- access to certain content is not available via the menu but is instead provided through the site map;
- some complex data tables do not fully meet accessibility requirements;
- heading levels are occasionally skipped to improve visual presentation of page elements;
- the focus indicator for the search element is not visible. Since all website content is accessible in other ways and this element is a fixed part of the website theme, adapting it would impose a disproportionate burden.
